In the final video on quantum control and measurement, Mark Elo discusses another quantum logic gate, the Control-Not gate (C-NOT). He introduces the concept of entanglement between two qubits programmatically created by the C-NOT gate. The quantum logic gates can generate destructive and constructive interference between the two qubits. Using a combination of quantum logic gates can increase the probability of getting a correct answer for the state of the initial qubit. With a large number of qubits, the quantum computer can eclipse the performance of a classical supercomputer. Applications include secure encryption and quantum communication.
