The Opportunity

We are looking for a visionary leader with a proven track record to lead the entire software group. Reporting directly to the VP of R&D, the Director will drive software strategy, oversee cross-functional collaboration, and ensure excellence in execution from concept to deployment. This is a mission-critical leadership role with a strong emphasis on building a world-class team, delivering embedded software products, and driving innovation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing embedded software team.

  • Define and own software architecture and development processes across multiple products.

  • Collaborate closely with hardware, system, and QA teams to align software with product needs.

  • Ensure timely, high-quality software delivery for complex, multidisciplinary systems.

  • Lead technical design reviews, code quality standards, and best practices in CI/CD.

  • Interface with customers and partners to understand requirements and deliver tailored solutions.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field from a recognized university.

  • 10+ years of hands-on software development experience (C/C++/C#/Python).

  • 5+ years of management experience, including leading embedded software teams.

  • Demonstrated success in delivering complex, real-time software products.

  • Strong experience in low-level protocols: UART, I2C, SPI, PCIe, Ethernet, USB, etc.

  • Solid understanding of embedded systems, RTOS, and hardware/software integration.

  • Proficient in both Windows and Linux environments.

  • Expertise in Agile/SCRUM development processes.

  • Hands-on experience with tools like Git, SVN, Jira, Visual Studio, and modern CI/CD.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Linux Kernel Development (LKD) and Windows UMDF/KMDF.

  • Familiarity with LabVIEW, VISA, SCPI, and instrument communication.

  • Knowledge of .NET framework and advanced C# development.

  • Experience in developing software in a regulated or high-reliability environment.
