Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Application Engineer (FAE) to join our team at Tabor Electronics. The FAE will play a crucial role in providing technical support and expertise to our customers, ensuring the successful implementation and integration of our products into their systems. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work closely with customers to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and guidance to customers on the application and integration of Tabor Electronics' products.
- Conduct product demonstrations, training sessions, and technical presentations for customers.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify customer requirements and develop tailored solutions.
- Assist in the development and execution of product evaluation and testing plans.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to product performance and functionality.
- Work closely with the engineering team to provide feedback on product improvements and enhancements.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and competitive products.
- Support the marketing team in the creation of technical documentation, application notes, and case studies.
Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the test and measurement industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of RF/uW signal generation, AWG, and digitizer technologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and MATLAB.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits, training sessions, and industry events (up to 20% travel).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Advantage
- Experience with wireless/RF/digital broadcasting applications in communications and radar fields.
- Extensive knowledge about instrumentation programming (VISA, LabWindows, LabVIEW) and interfacing (GPIB, Network, LXI, PXI, VXI, etc), ATE system integration, and DSP techniques.
- Proficiency in using and understanding test and measurement equipment, including spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and digitizers.
